A brief history of Ariel Pins

Ariel is a mermaid who first appeared in Disneys 1989 animated film The Little Mermaid and later in its prequel television series and video sequels The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea and The Little Mermaid III. Ariel is voiced by Jodi Benson in all the animated series.

Ariel was originally created by Hans Andersen back in 1989 and the character was developed by Glen Keane. Ariel is a red haired mermaid who lives in the Sea. She discovers true love with a human Prince and has to battle the villain of the film and is rewarded by King Tritons Trident. She gets transformed into a human to marry Prince Eric.
